Hold the Faith—Even When It Feels Like Everything’s Falling Apart
When you’re down to nothing, God is up to something. Speak and hold faith in your heart, even when answers feel delayed.
Hold the Faith—Even When It Feels Like Everything’s Falling Apart
There’s a difference between having faith and holding faith.
You can believe in something and still be shaken. You can pray and still feel lost. You can speak hope into others and still feel like you're the one silently drowning.
I know this all too well.
I remember a time—not that long ago—when everything felt like it was slipping.
We had listings sitting longer than expected. Buyers were hesitating. Expenses were rising. Deals were falling apart in the eleventh hour. I felt like I was pouring from a cup that had long been empty. And then, just to add to the emotional whirlwind, the personal stuff crept in… worry about family, health concerns, strained patience, sleepless nights.
You know those moments when you’re doing everything right—praying, showing up, working hard, being kind, being faithful—but it still feels like you're stuck in the mud?
That’s where I was.
And in the quiet moments—when the phone wasn’t ringing, when the inbox was dry, and I couldn’t fake another smile—I found myself in a conversation with God that was more tears than words.
"Lord, I’m doing all I can. I’m tired. I need a win. I need some light. I’m running out of money, time, patience… I feel like I’m failing.”
And then, as clearly as if it were spoken aloud, this came to my heart:
"When you’re down to nothing, I’m up to something."
It wasn’t the answer I wanted. I wanted a miracle deal. A breakthrough. A yes.
But what I got instead was peace.
And that peace reminded me: Faith isn’t just about the believing. It’s about the holding.
Holding faith in your heart when your mind is doubting.
Holding faith in your words when your circumstances aren’t cooperating.
Holding faith in your actions when it would be easier to just give up.
So I began to speak differently.
Instead of saying, “This market is tough,” I started saying, “The right people are coming. God is aligning the perfect deals.”
Instead of saying, “I’m broke,” I said, “Every dollar I need is on its way.”
Instead of saying, “I don’t know what else to do,” I said, “I trust God to guide my next step.”
And little by little, things shifted.
It wasn’t instant. It wasn’t magic. But it was divine.
A random referral came in. A listing got an offer. A buyer reached back out. And most importantly—I felt hopeful again. I felt faithful again.
Faith doesn’t remove the hard—it carries you through it.
And your words? They matter. Speak life. Speak belief. Speak as if the miracle is already on its way.
To anyone reading this who feels like you’re down to nothing…
You’re not forgotten. You’re not broken. You’re not behind.
You’re being positioned for something greater. The delays are not denials. The quiet moments are often when God is working the loudest behind the scenes.
Keep holding faith—in your heart and in your words. Because I promise you, even if the answer isn’t in your timing, it will always be in His purpose.
